Listing Policy

v1.2 01/03/2025 23/09/2025

This Listing Policy outlines the rules and guidelines for creating and managing listings on the ORE2B marketplace (the "Portal"). The purpose of this policy is to ensure all listings are high-quality, accurate, and professional, fostering a trustworthy environment for all "Users". This policy is a part of our main Terms of Use and by creating a listing on the Portal, you agree to abide by these rules.

1. General Principles

All listings on ORE2B must adhere to the following core principles:

  • Accuracy and Honesty: All information provided in a listing must be truthful, accurate, and not misleading. This includes all details, specifications, images, and documentation.
  • Professionalism: Listings must be created in a professional manner. The language, images, and overall presentation should be appropriate for a B2B marketplace in the metals and mining industry.
  • Relevance: All listings must be for products, materials, or services directly related to the metals and mining value chain.
  • Compliance with Laws: Sellers are responsible for ensuring that the items they list and any resulting transactions comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws, regulations, and trade sanctions.

2. Prohibited Listings

The following items and content are strictly prohibited from being listed on the Portal:

  • Illegal Materials: Any mineral, metal, or material that has been illegally mined, sourced, or traded.
  • Conflict Minerals: Materials sourced from regions that finance conflict, in violation of established international guidelines (e.g., OECD Due Diligence Guidance) and relevant laws.
  • Intellectual Property Infringement: Listings that infringe upon the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of a third party.
  • Stolen Goods: Listing any item that is known or suspected to be stolen is strictly forbidden.
  • Misleading or Fraudulent Content: Listings that are intentionally created to deceive or defraud "Users". This includes bait-and-switch tactics and false claims about a product's origin, quality, or authenticity.
  • Duplicate Listings: Creating multiple listings for the same single item, lot, or service is not permitted. Sellers with multiple identical items should specify the available quantity in a single listing.

3. Listing Content Requirements

To maintain a high standard of quality, all listings must meet the following content requirements:

3.1. Title

The title must be clear, concise, and accurately describe the item being offered. Avoid using excessive capital letters, promotional language ("Best Offer!", "Hot Deal!"), or irrelevant keywords.

  • Example of a Good Title: "Copper Cathode 99.99% Purity - LME Grade A"
  • Example of a Bad Title: "CHEAP COPPER SALE!!! MUST SEE!!!"

3.2. Description

The description must provide comprehensive and accurate details about the item, including but not limited to:

  • Technical Specifications: Chemical composition, purity levels, physical dimensions, grade, and form (e.g., ingots, powder, ore).
  • Quantity: The total amount available for sale (e.g., metric tons, kilograms). State the minimum order quantity (MOQ) if applicable.
  • Origin: The country or region of origin for the material.
  • Documentation: Reference any available supporting documents, such as assay reports, certificates of analysis (COA), certificates of origin, or compliance documents. You must be able to provide these documents to a potential buyer upon request.
  • Pricing: Clearly state the price per unit or lot. If the price is negotiable or tied to a market index (e.g., LME, COMEX), this must be explicitly mentioned.

3.3. Categorization

You are responsible for placing your listing in the most relevant and specific category available. Mis-categorizing listings is prohibited as it degrades the browsing experience for buyers.

3.4. Images and Media

  • Images must be high-resolution and clearly show the product.
  • The images must be of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo or a computer rendering, unless it's impossible to photograph (e.g., a future production lot, in which case this must be clearly stated).
  • You must have the rights to use any images you upload. Do not use images from other "Users" or websites without permission.

4. Policy Enforcement

Violation of this Listing Policy may result in a range of actions, including but not limited to:

  • Listing Removal: We may remove any listing that violates our policies without prior notice.
  • Account Limitation: Your ability to create new listings may be temporarily restricted.
  • Account Suspension or Termination: For severe or repeated violations, we reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account.

We may review listings to ensure they comply with this policy. ORE2B reserves the right to make the final determination on whether a listing violates our policies.
